Whether you are an interested traveler, a talented travel writer or photographer, responsible tourism provider or an organization with a mission to create a better world, we would love to hear from you. 

We just got started in early 2018 so would appreciate help in building out our content for our monthly online MAGAZINE – Not a Typical Traveler – and our BLOG where we feature extraordinary tourism experiences and their providers. 

What are we looking for?

Stories and gorgeous images that introduce us to unique life-changing experiences and inspire us to travel mindfully and respectfully.

Here are some potential topics to consider: 

• Suggestions of places to visit for authentic experiences (not on any other ‘top 10 list’ anywhere!) and off-the-beaten-path adventures.
• Re-discovering and preserving lost cultures
• Rejuvenating cultures, peoples, creatures, and environs at risk
• Preserving and celebrating the beauty and wonder in our world today
• Positioning our communities and natural world for a vibrant future
• Feature businesses -locally owned and operated and/or directing the flow of $$$ into empowering the communities with which they interact
• Success Stories in Responsible Tourism Development
• Introductions to tourism enterprises to profile
  
  

What makes a submission stand out?

• Vibrant visuals
• It touches our heart and soul, intrigues us, excites us and makes us want to sing and dance and give you a big hug
• It speaks of discovery and transformation
• It uncovers a brilliant hidden gem

How do you submit your article?

If you have a recommendation, photos or article idea you’d like to send our way please fill out the form on this page OR email us directly at: [email protected] If applicable include a link to your blog post, dropbox or gallery and we will follow-up with a request for more details if needed.

Keep in mind we will need these details if accepted:

• Credits for all images and businesses involved 
• Images a minimum of 2400 pixels wide with no watermark
